www.myspace.com/usmev In 1996 Usmev aka Xavi Kolo bought his own turntables. Influenced by acid house and technopop, he started listening old cassettes from his brothers and after a musical education that took place in his childhood and adolescence.
One year later, he became redisent djs two seasons in the radio show 'Ser nocturnos' from the popular fm Cadena Ser in Barcelona.
His experience and inconformism let him evolve while he was experimenting with an endless world of styles, and consolidated as eclectic dj with a lot of connection with the crowd. His dj set is a mixture of electrodisco, organic melodies, forcefully rhythms and very contrasting environments, creating a particular sound that identifies by its freshness and versatility for the floor.
In 2002 he releases his first record in Tanga Records, at which time his studio is located in Barcelona. After that, he's been working in his band Usmev Und Siza since 2004. Later on he founded Otommo Booking, a new generation agency that handles new talents, and started to work with Fernando Amaya in their new live project Superferric, so watch out for his upcomings.
